Why is Volunteering Important?

Kids Ministries Volunteers

Our mission is to reach kids for Christ by creating age appropriate environments that draw kids into life transforming relationships with kids their own age, adult volunteers, and ultimately with Jesus. As a volunteer in Kids Ministry, you play a huge role in accomplishing our mission. We help our youngest kids become familiar with Bible stories and learn about Jesus’ love for them. We provide kids with a place where they feel safe and cared for, and can begin to learn how to trust God, and others. We introduce Kid-Os to Jesus in our Toddler Rooms through Bible stories, simple activities, and singing together.

Preschool kids enjoy large group learning and group time discussion. In large group, kids get to sing songs and meet some of our favorite characters, like Ranger Ron and Rocky, who help them learn more about how God wants us to live. In group time, they meet with other kids their own age and are guided in fun activities and discussion with their group. We create a fun and engaging environment for our kids to learn about Jesus. At Elevate, we’ve created a weekend experience that teaches kids about God in a way that they’ll understand best-while also having a ton of fun.

With games, engaging music, and a television-quality show we produce just for them, they’ll make connections with kids and leaders while learning about God in a way that challenges them to put their faith into practice. Our caring, trained volunteers come alongside kids with various special needs, ages birth-grade 5, so they may participate and enjoy God and others to their fullest potential in Eagle Brook Kids Ministries.

A Kid’s Place of Tampa Bay

Volunteers, ages 14 and up, are always welcome at A Kids Place and there are numerous ways you can be a part of what we do. While hands-on time with the children is extremely limited, we offer other opportunities to get involved such as special events, campus clean-ups, and on-site summer camp. Last year our volunteers logged over 5,625 hours in service! Here’s how you can help. Sponsor an off-site event which allows you to take our children on a fun and exciting outing like a sporting event, concerts, movies, bowling, Chuck E Cheese, miniature golf, etc.

A Kid’s Place will transport and accompany the children for the particular event. This event can be as small or as large as you like, and it can be for a specific age group. Sponsor an on-site event with our children like a field day, themed parties, or an ice cream social. These events are held on Saturday’s and are planned and funded by your group. We can always use help with clerical support, maintenance support, sorting donations, and campus cleanup projects, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.

If you would like to volunteer and offer in-kind professional services, some of our needs include: Event Planning, graphic design, printing, communications, and maintenance/contract work.
